Xbox 360 Arcade to replace Core system

Will come bundled with five free games

NEWS: 3 October 2007 11:28 GMT by

Just a rumour at this stage, but leaks from Amazon and Toys R Us in the States are suggesting that the Xbox 360 "Core" model is to be replaced with the "Arcade".

Previously rumoured, and apparently due for a European launch too, this new option at the bottom of the Xbox food chain, is said to come with a 256MB memory card and five free Xbox Live Arcade games.

No more is known on how the spec will differ, if indeed it will, but the leaks suggest same-as-the-Core price of $279.99 and a launch date of 23rd October.

We will keep you informed...
