Take 2 blames SCEE for Manhunt 2 leak

The former Sony man has admitted it apparently

NEWS: 22 October 2007 16:47 GMT by Chris Ford

Last September a test version of Manhunt 2 appeared on the internet, and now Take-Two has announced that it laying the blame firmly at Sony’s door.

The publisher is saying that an ex Sony Europe employee leaked the unreleased Manhunt 2 code, something more definite than previous statements which merely mentioned that it was someone who “had access to the game.”

"Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that a former employee of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has acknowledged his responsibility for the unauthorized online distribution of an unrated play-test version of Manhunt 2 submitted for the European PAL PS 2," said a spokesperson for Take Two.

For its part, Sony is refusing to comment as there may be legal action brought by Take Two.
