Among the few title that generate as much interest as Halo, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has had a set back, disappointing eager fans.

Konami has announced that it is delaying the release of the title so that everything in the game can be finalised.

The Konami website says that MSG 4 will make its way to shop shelves in the first quarter of 2008 in Japan and the second in the rest of the world. That’s a set back of up to six months as it was originally slated for launch this Christmas.

A statement from Konami read, "Konami has decided to delay the title's release in order to make further improvements to the quality of the game and provide even greater enjoyment for more customers worldwide."
