More tasty details of what gamers can expect from Tomb Raider 8 have been revealed.

US magazine "Play" magazine has published an interview about the latest Lara Croft adventure, which rumours suggest will be called Raider: Underworld.

The game is to be developed by Crystal Dynamics and released for the PS3 and Xbox360 in 2008.

And the article suggests that Lara lovers can expect events worldwide to herald the arrival of the new game, but only after Legend and new animations have been created for "gaming's first lady".

The team at Play magazine writes: "Lara's adventure will be a thrill ride for anyone new to the franchise. The emphasis is on bringing Lara's world to life, a lush, vast interactive world that reacts and remembers. It's pure woman versus wild."
