Resistance 2 on the way?

Will 2008 see the launch of the long awaited PS3 shooter successor?

NEWS: 14 January 2008 12:13 GMT by Katie Scott

Rumours of a sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man were circling the web late last year but it seems that they are soon to come too.

According to February's issue of the US mag Game Informer, developer Insomniac is well on its way with Resistance 2.

In the piece, there is talk of an eight player co-op mode, with battles in excessive of 60 players mooted for the PSN.

Two full campaign modes are also mooted, and the game will once again be set on Earth.

The Brooklyn Bridge was apparently spied in early shots, but there has been no sort of confirmation from Insomniac as to whether New York is a setting or not.
