Super Smash Bros Brawl launched for Nintendo Wii

A smash hit (geddit?)

NEWS: 17 March 2008 11:35 GMT by Katie Scott

Nintendo's latest game for the Wii lets you pit all of your fav characters up against each other.

Super Smash Bros Brawl is the third in the Smash Bros series that began in 1999; and so fans have been waiting a while for this latest launch.

"This game is the only time Nintendo worlds are allowed to collide," Nate Bihldorff, a localisation producer for the US version of the game told Reuters.

"They actually came up with a really elegant solution to how those universes intersect. Imagine a kid playing with all his toys, and visualise the different action figures crashing together," Bihldorff said.

It is one of a trio of upcoming Wii releases - with Mario Kart Wii arriving next month and then the arrival of the Wii Fit, which is mooted for May.

Super Smash Bros Brawl costs $50 or around £25.
