The Bourne Conspiracy gets summer release

Worldwide debut in June

NEWS: 3 April 2008 10:01 GMT by Katie Scott

You may have been wowed by Matt Damon as the ultimate international man of mystery, Jason Bourne (I know I was), but now he is coming to a console near you.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy is going to hit shelves worldwide on 27 June.

Sierra Entertainment promises: "The game brings Jason Bourne’s signature combat style to life by sharply blending a seamless mix of hand-to-hand fighting, gunplay and dramatic escapes".

And the action also includes that now oh so famous caper around Paris in a Mini Cooper.

The developer has collaborated on the new game with Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy, so gamers will, not only get to fight the baddies, but also help Bourne uncover his past.

"Wrought with action, combat, elaborate escape scenes and untold story, the Bourne series is making a natural progression into the interactive medium", said Al Simone, senior vice president, global marketing, Sierra Entertainment.

The game promises hand-to-hand fighting to shooting to escape and evasion, as well as "arcade racing-style game play and destructive stunt setups".

All of the details are online now.
