GameCity, the annual gathering for gamers, is coming to Gatecrasher in Nottingham.

Now in its third year, the festival is claimed to be a one-off for students who want to enter the gaming industry.

Say the organisers: "GameCity 3 promises buck the trend of phoning in lazy sequels by delivering a brilliant third installment where even Spider-Man and the Godfather couldn't".

It will bring the people who play videogames into contact with the people who make them - and who want to make them.

And it will take place across the whole of Nottingham - from cinemas and market squares, to restaurants, cafes and schools.

It will run from 30 October to 1 November.
