TrackMania Nations Forever free for all

Racing game available from 16 April

NEWS: 9 April 2008 12:38 GMT by Katie Scott

TrackMania Nations Forever, the sequel to TrackMania Nations, will be available as a free download from 16 April.

The new game features 65 brand new, progressively difficult tracks; a new version of the stadium environment; mulitplayer modes; a brand new track editor; and features that allow gamers to communicate with competing racers via their PC.

Florent Castelnerac, Director of Nadeo studio, explains that interactive features have become a focus for the new version of the game: "Even if you play Nations Forever alone, you can still be ranked in the world, your country, your city or even in your list of friends that you can create by inviting friends to join in a similar way to Facebook or MySpace".

"It is up to each player to set his/her goals - become one of the best players in the world or just impress friends. These ladders are adapted to everyone and they add ten times more interest to solo or multiplayer modes."

Players of TrackMania Nations Forever will join the TrackMania online community, including players from the free version and the forthcoming retail version, TrackMania United Forever, which will be released on 23 May 2008.

Nations Forever and United Forever players will be able to compete on the same servers competing on all of the compatible Stadium tracks.
