GAME opening 260 stores at midnight for GTA IV release

For those that can't wait to get their hands on it

NEWS: 28 April 2008 17:59 GMT by Verity Burns

GAME will be opening 260 of its stores at midnight tonight to allow Grand Theft Auto fans to get their hands on a copy of GTA IV as soon as possible.

Another 414 stores will then be opening their doors extra early at 7am the following morning.

Of course, this is all issued with a warning that only customers that have pre-ordered the game can be guaranteed of picking up a copy on the launch day. Being one of the biggest releases of 2008 though, we're unsure that will stop the queues.

"Everyone at GAME is working flat out to make sure customers can pick up their copy of GTA IV as fast as possible", said Tricia Brennan, GAME UK and Eire managing director.

"Due to incredible demand the vast majority have already been pre-ordered by our customers. We are working closely with Rockstar to make sure that subsequent deliveries arrive quickly in our stores."
