An improved Fatal Inertia is coming exclusively to PS3

Promised improvements on 360 version

NEWS: 30 April 2008 22:33 GMT by Verity Burns

KOEI have announced that the new Fatal Inertia EX will be available at the end of May 2008 exclusively to the PlayStation Network, and only on PS3.

Anyone that tested the Fatal Inertia Xbox 360 version last year may not be too excited by this news, having been less than bowled over by the flight racer game the first time round. Still, the developers have promised big improvements this time that they think will seriously impress.

"We're really excited about what we've accomplished with Fatal Inertia EX", said Mike Bond, lead game designer. "Gamers will be amazed by all of the improvements we've made. Fatal Inertia EX is a faster, more visually-captivating experience packed with new content not found in the original."

So what are the big changes? Well, a re-tuned flight model has improved handling and now achieves higher speeds than previously seen. Flight controls take advantage of the Dualshock 3 wireless controller and also give the optional use of Sixaxis motion sensing technology.

Fatal Inertia EX delivers heightened visuals to previous efforts, which include new weather effects, significant scenery enhancements, and an overhauled garage for racecraft customization.

Spread across 59 courses in seven exotic high-definition environments, you'll certainly have enough to keep you occupied.
