More MGS4 bundles announced

But UK gamers will have to make do without…

NEWS: 2 May 2008 13:47 GMT by Verity Burns

Sony Entertainment Japan has announced the launch of three new special edition PS3 bundles to coincide with the release of Metal Gear Solid 4.

Well, Sony says three – it's actually the same bundle of the game, a SIXAXIS controller and a Dual Shock 3 controller in three different colours. Gamers will be able to take their pick from classic clear black, ceramic white or satin silver.

These new bundles will be released on 12 June alongside a special edition gun metal grey pack already confirmed.

Sony says the three packs will be limited editions and will set gamers back around ¥49,800 (about £239.50).

It may all sounds very nice, but don't get too excited - these bundles will only be released in Japan.

So although Japan has more than one bundle, and the US do too (including an 80GB version announced back in February), gamers in the UK will have to make do without. No announcements as yet, and apparently "no plans" to release a bundle anywhere in Europe any time soon. Big meanies.
