Parkour is coming to a games console and PC near you later this year. EA used the PlayStation Day in London event to release the first trailer for Mirror's edge a new movement based first person shooter.
The trailer, which features actual game footage, sees the main character Faith running across a skyscraper backdrop leaping from building to building. The game is due out later this year and is expected to be a huge title for those looking for something different to the usual horror genre. In July 2007, senior producer, Owen O'Brien, said: "We want to change the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game". Judging by the trailer, it looks they might have succeed. Mirror's Edge will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. disable ad |
