EA Sports has done some clever work with the simulation engine in the UEFA Euro 2008 videogame and tested all the teams in the Euro competition against each other, to determine who should come out on top.

Its conclusions? It believes Portugal will be the country to win the competition, after 2-1 win over Italy in the final.

To get there, Italy beat France 2-0 in one semifinal, while Portugal knocked off Germany in the other, also at a score line of 2-0.

It also predicted that Cristiano Ronaldo would win the Golden Boot trophy for five goals in the competition.
