New Wii title Sports Party exclusive to EMEA

Japan and US snubbed

NEWS: 24 June 2008 15:42 GMT by Verity Burns

Ubisoft's new Wii title, Sports Party, will only be released in EMEA territories, the company has announced.

And that's not all. Any games released under Ubisoft's new publishing label Play Zone, of which Sports Party is the first, will also be limited to EMEA.

This means Europe, the Middle East and Australia - or read that as no release in the US or Japan. Well that's got to be a first.

Sports Party is due for release on July 11th and features nine mini-games including volleyball, basketball, lawn darts and badminton. There are also three difficulty levels for those that struggle with the whole hand-eye co-ordination malarky.

Looks like gamers in US and Japan will just have to sit this one out.
