EA apologies for Bad Company connection problems

Blame it on the servers

NEWS: 1 July 2008 14:11 GMT by Verity Burns

Electronic Arts has spoken out about the persistent bad connection issues that have been causing Battlefield: Bad Company gamers over the weekend.

They have released an apology and said it is working hard on a fix for the problems.

"We are aware that some X360 players are having issues connecting to the Bad Company servers," EA said in a statement.

"We've been monitoring stats non-stop and are working with several partners to locate any possible flashpoints and eradicate any hostiles we encounter."

Glad that EA can see the amusing side. The gamers on the other hand, may not.

It added: "Until we are ready to implement a permanent fix, a possible workaround is to turn off your console for approx. 20 minutes before turning it back on and connecting again."

Ah the old if in doubt, reboot trick. Fingers crossed a more solid solution to the problems crops up soon.

Have Your Say
  • not just the xbox360 it's affecting us PS3 players as well,
forwarded all ports on router to those specified in the handbook and even placed the PS3 in the DMZ settings on my router,
    still no change,
i can play for a couple of hours - no problem then it happens,
    or even after 5 minutes,

it really is annoying when you have fought hard to get to the last section of a map with just 2 crates left - and then be booted,
i've felt like launching the console through the window.

Ive got no gripes about the game in general although a few things could be tweaked - overall i really do like this game and have completed the single player - but i only purchase a game if the multiplayer side is as good as the single player experience , and i think it has it in bucketfulls

BUT..... when the error returned is you have been disconnected due to inactivity...... OMG EA and SONY - sort it out

from a very dissapointed buyer of BF:BC (PS3 Format)
