Line-ups announced for Ibiza Rocks Xbox Weekenders

Rock out on the White Isle

NEWS: 7 July 2008 15:21 GMT by Verity Burns

The line-ups for the Xbox Weekenders at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel have been announced, and are sure to please anyone heading over to the White Isle looking for something with more of a rock vibe.

The first Xbox Weekender takes place from July 18th-20th, and will see Mancunian band The Whip, fresh from Glastonbury, taking the stage on the Saturday night.

Supporting The Whip on the July event is a blistering line up of up and coming artists including OK Tokyo, Esser, Filthy Dukes and the Discolexia Crew who will see guests at the San Antonio Hotel partying into the early hours.

In addition, fans of Rock Band will also have the chance to rock out their on-stage fantasies on the Friday, as part of the Xbox 360 presents Rock Band Live tour, for the chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Ibiza and to live the lifestyle of a rock star for a week.

Whilst dates and line-ups for the August event are still TBC, the September Xbox Weekender, taking place from 12th - 14th will see quirky rockers Mystery Jets headlining.

As we reported when the partnership was first announced, guests at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel can enjoy all sorts of Xbox loveliness during their stay, including the Xbox Social area, complete with the latest games and ultra-comfy couches, Xbox kiosks throughout the hotel, and even concierge room service to get an Xbox set up in the comfort of your own room. Lovely.
