New Nintendo DS - fact or fiction?

Rumours say yes, Nintendo won't comment

NEWS: 27 August 2008 21:44 GMT by Verity Burns

Industry sources outside of Nintendo have hinted that the company is working on a new Nintendo DS, that will see dual touchscreen as well as a slight increase in the screen sizes.

This would mean players will be able to interact with the game on both screens.

The sources say that the announcement won't be made until next year, which would fit with Nintendo's statement at E3 that it had no more announcements for 2008.

However, Nintendo has been quick to comment that it won't comment on any rumours of a redesigned DS, calling the internet chatter "rumour and speculation".

The question is now, do people planning to buy a DS at Christmas believe Nintendo or not...?
